What a clever and thought provoking blog. Are we gulity of over coaching at times thus making our athletes switch off rather than engage. Coaching is about reflecting on your own performance as well as the performances of your charges and of course for a change of voice sometimes. And how important for the coach to always be open to new ideas and take lessons from wherever they may come - on holiday rather than sat in a classroom can be just as effective.

Thanks Colin! I think we are guilty of coaching because we are coaches... the bigger challenge can be to take a step back and reflect.
